The other day, I saw a really cute idea for doing monthly cover pages, which is something I might start doing now. It’s a nice chance to get to do some artwork by hand, and I’ll take any excuse to do that.
So, I made myself a monthly cover for February coming up, with those iconic candies that taste terrible but are still associated with Valentine’s Day for some unknown reason.
I decided then that is was worth taking the image and making it a printable for people. Basically, this gives me an excuse to do weird things for myself and post them on the pretense that I was totally making things to share. Then it doesn’t feel like a waste of the day, ya know?
So, here are the printables for this cover page! Full color was edited in Photoshop to print nice, and the outline was a real pain in the butt to get with a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator magic. Pick your favorite messages and add them to the candies for your own unique piece!

The black and white one is a transparent PNG file, too, if you want to play with it digitally. Just click on the image to get the full resolution file, print off on your favorite paper, and you’re ready to go!
