Storenvy, why?

October 6, 2017

I just discovered Storenvy charges buyers a fee on transactions.

IMO, that is bullshit.

Charge me all the fees you want, but don’t tack it onto the buyers. I know I would be charged something, that’s how it works. But I hate the idea of my buyers having to pay more than I set it up for. I try to keep costs down, I know people don’t have a lot of money to buy things, especially the type of things I make. So it’s frustrating when I see that another $1 gets put on as a handling fee. Charge that to me, I don’t care. Not my buyer.

So I guess I’m going solely with Etsy for now.

Anyone out there in Internet land have suggestions for other online places to sell? I’ve heard of Tictail, but I’m not sure about anything else…

Update: January 2020
And that’s why we are where we are. Etsy decided to add up the fees like mad, and, well, you see why I’m not a fan of storenvy. So, since I’ve been primarily doing artwork anyways, I’ve decided to leave these chains behind and focus on RedBubble and a personal storefront here.
