I have been sketching out fancy banners just for fun recently, but I had forgotten this style until I was looking through last year’s bullet journal and came across the keema curry page. Since I make that recipe so regularly, I figured I would migrate it into this year’s journal to have on hand.
Because I really like that style, I decided to keep with it, but make it less “food” focused, and more just plain pretty. Midliners, markers I’ve heard all about for years, finally made an appearance in Japanese stores, and I have been playing with them every chance I get. I outlined some of my illustration in grey, and I love how it turned out, so when I vector’d it to post, I thought I’d try something similar.
There’s what mine turned out to look like, without erasing the pencil marks or the like – been too lazy to finish it, distracted as I was by turning it into a digital piece.
So, the banner is available in 3 different styles to suit your needs – just the solid black, one with a grey background, and just the outline, because it seemed like it would be fun to just color if you wanted.
