If you’ve seen my post about documenting the history of Shonenji, you know I love these pieces of art so much.
Since I hurt myself, embroidery isn’t something I can easily do right now, and my sewing room is full of boxes from moving, so I’m entertaining myself with Illustrator. I decided it would be fun to vector the designs on the tiles, and hopefully learn more advanced techniques while I’m at it.
So, for my first tile, I picked something simple – traditional Japanese toys. A temari ball, a fan, a ball, and an origami crane.
